Our Services

Cosmetic and traditional dental treatments and procedures offered by Dr. Roxanne Azmoudeh, DDS :

Crowns-also known as "caps."
A Crown restores the natural shape and strength of the original tooth. Performed for structural as well as cosmetic purposes, crowns often are necessary if significant parts of the tooth have been subjected to decay, following a root canal, or if a tooth has been broken or fractured. The process of having a crown made is relatively simple. First, a mold will be made of the original tooth at the dentist's office. A laboratory will then make the crown, carefully matching it to your natural tooth color. When the crown is ready, you will come back to the dentist's office. Your original tooth will be shaped slightly and the crown will be permanently cemented to the original tooth. Crowns can be white (made out of CMC/PMC, which is ceramic/porcelain metal composite), gold, or tin/aluminum mixture.

Bridges
A bridge is one good option for replacing missing teeth. Bridges anchor 1 or more false teeth permanently, anchored next to a crown or other existing teeth.

Whitening
Dr. Azmoudeh offers a 1-hour in-office "Zoom Advanced Power" tooth whitening services. She also offers custom-made, take-home tooth bleaching kits. Take home bleaching kits usually take 4-6 weeks to achieve optimum results.

Fillings
Used to repair tooth decay, fillings come in a variety of shapes and colors. Some are more durable, some more natural looking, and some less expensive. White fillings are generally preferred for cosmetic reasons, although traditional amalgam fillings are more durable.

Bonding
Often used in cosmetic dentistry, tooth bonding is an easy and inexpensive way to repair chipped, discolored, or otherwise unsightly teeth. The bonding material used-composite resin-can be shaped and polished in one single office visit to look just like natural, healthy teeth. Bonding can be used instead of veneers, which require at least 2 office visits. Tooth bonding is also used to lengthen short stubby teeth, as an alternative to amalgam fillings, or to close gaps between front teeth. Unlike many other cosmetic dentistry procedures, bonding can be performed in about an hour and the results are quite pleasing. Although significantly less expensive than traditional porcelain veneers, they will usually not last as long.

Removable partial dentures & complete dentures
Dentures are often used when many teeth have been lost. Removable dentures can replace only a few teeth, and be anchored to existing teeth. Dentures can also replace an entire set of teeth (full dentures).

Implants
Lost a tooth? Implants are a great choice. A dental implant will look and feel just like your original tooth. Implants are carefully constructed artificial teeth that are permanently implanted in the bone. They are a beautiful, comfortable, effortless solution.

Dental repairs
Fractured, chipped, or broken teeth usually require immediate treatment to save part of the tooth, remedy pain, and prevent further injury. Tooth injuries include: minor cracks (or "craze lines, usually do not require immediate treatment), chips, cusp fractures (usually not painful), serious fractures (often accompanied by bleeding and pain), cracked tooth, vertically split tooth, vertical tooth fractures (sometimes called "split root"), and decay-induced fracture.

Preventative dentistry
Regular tooth cleaning (once every 6 months) is recommended. At each checkup, Dr. Azmoudeh will perform scaling, teeth polishing, dental x-rays, root cleaning, fluoride treatment, and other services.

Gum therapy
Signs of gum disease (gingivitis) include: red, painfully swollen gums, bleeding gums, receding gums, mouth sores, bad breath, pus coming from the gums, and itchy, red or shiny gums. Often, gums bleed when teeth are brushed or flossed. If left untreated, gum disease can lead to loose teeth, teeth falling out, and periodontal disease (a disease of the gums and jaw bones). Dr. Azmoudeh is experienced at treating problems with the gums, including gingivitis and other gum diseases. She can get you back on track to total oral health.

Veneers
Ready for a new smile? Porcelain veneers are a great option for refreshing the look of stained, cracked, or chipped teeth. Veneers are thin pieces of fine porcelain material adhered to the front surface of the teeth. They resist stains much more than natural tooth enamel and usually last about 15 years. Porcelain veneers require a few office visits; each veneer piece is custom made in a laboratory to match your tooth shape and structure perfectly.
